Steel House | University of Idaho

Staying During Vacations

Steel House is unique in that we don't close for U of I vacations. Unlike both dorms and sororities, you may live in Steel House for the full academic year, including over Thanksgiving, Christmas, and spring break. We understand that many of our residents work jobs off-campus and need to stay in Moscow during these times to work. During the school year, you pay from August 15th through the Monday after school is out in the spring. You may choose to also live in the house during the summer for an additional cost. Summer fees will be set by April 2011.

Summer residents run the house much like during the school year but on a much lighter cleaning and work schedule. Food is "on your own" over the summer. Often times, summer camps utilize the house during the summer months so don't be surprised if you see a high school student or two wandering around the house!
